I have th RCT2 delux package and have questions about scenery. I've been looking at some youtube channels about RCT2 rencently and have discoverd that scenery accualy have an impact on excitement rates! I never knew this, and have allways been building pretty bare and booring parks. I did not belive that a shrub and a statue whould have any impact.

Armed with this new knowledge, I start to enjoy building themes for my rides and parks. But it seem as if there are some scenery items and functions missing from my game. According to youtuber Marcel Vos you can hold down SHIFT to move items up and down and do alot more with scenery, but not in my installment. Nor do I have roofs or walls that are seen in many videos. Some functions on rollercoasters such as having a train run more than one lap is also missing from the RCT2 delux package.

Perheaps there is something in the settings I am missing, or do i have the wrong RCT2?
Is there a RCT2 that I can buy that have all these extra bells and wistles? Where is it, and why is this RCT2 "delux" so inferior?
Im sad....

You seem to be playing RCT 1 then.

RCT1 is deluxe, RCT2 is called thripple thrill pack or ttp.
In rct 1 such option wasn't available with the shift key, unless you do it in openrct and bring it there i think.
But anyway RCT1 has better gameplay scenarios while RCT2 has more options and less fun scenarios than rct1.
The only way to build some rides or scenery higher up in RCT1 was to raise the land.

In any case, why are you playing the dusty old OGs instead of OpenRCT2?

It not only has all the bells and whistles, but new ones, bugfixes over the original, and intercompatibility with RCT1 scenarios.

Plus a new save format that'll make it so you'll literally never run out of room.
