azeluk: Hey everyone. I've been playing RCT1 for years now but recently for some reason it's only been running in windowed mode. Even if I go in to the games options and pick a resolution (full screen) it always stays windowed.

This has only started recently and I don't know why. What used to happen is I use to click play the game would load and my computers resolution would change and the game would play in full screen.

I've tried to run the game in a compatibility mode to see if that, helps and had it run in a specified resolution but it still appears windowed with my desktop behind it.

Can anyone help me out at all it's driving me mad and I don't know how to fix it.

Darvond: As it turns out, OpenRCT2 can deal with all RCT1 installs.

Plokite_Wolf: What worked for me is the combination of WinXP SP2 compatibility mode and disabling full-screen optimizations. It explicitly requires RCT2 files regardless of whether you have an RCT1 installation.

Darvond: They're 5$ & 10$ each here on GOG. Not exactly a hard purchase when they go on sale pretty often.
