RCT1 runs fine, as in I can open it and play it fine, but it causes a number of problems when I quit the game. Anything I had open when I played the game is frozen. E.G. If I try to click anything in an open Chrome tab or Excel Spreadsheet, it doesn't register the click. The only solution I've found is to Ctrl+Alt+Delete and sign out, then sign back in. Restarting the computer accomplishes the same thing. Any ideas on what could be happening? Thanks in advance.

Each time I close RCT1, my mouse has troubles too (it can't left click) : the solution is, when you closed the game, to right-click somewhere (anywhere) to see the contextual windows menu. And now that's repaired :)
Is this your trouble ? (and so solution ?)

Just tried this and it works. I was messing around with it and found another solution as well (in case someone else experiences the same problem). If I alt+tab out of the game and then right-click and close RCT that way, it doesn't freeze. Thanks for your help!

Another solution to this is calling the Task Manager after leaving the game and double-clicking on any of its tabs. Works on XP onwards.
