I bought RCT Deluxe, I entered the game and went into Options to try to maximize the screen but it stayed the same. I read on GOG support page that I should idownload this file GAME.CFG and paste it to the game's installation folder\Data. When I click the file, though, nothing happens. I have all antivirus and ad blocker services turned off and it still does not download, nothing happens at all. I read somewhere that I could somehow solve my problem by downloading OpenRCT2, but that requires me to BUY RCT 2.
I purchased a product for $5.99 that I can't even use :(
I appreciate any help

In the compatibility settings for RCT.exe, set the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows 98 / Me or XP SP3, and also disable desktop composition / visual themes.

I changed it to XP Pack 3 but as shown here, there is no option to disable desktop composition / visual themes in Windows 10 Pro.

kwohld89_0748: I changed it to XP Pack 3 but as shown here, there is no option to disable desktop composition / visual themes in Windows 10 Pro.
Does ticking the "Disable full-screen optimisations" option help?

It worked exactly as you said! I just have to enter the game by clicking on the actual .exe file rather than through the GOG app.
