Hi, I want to transfer my user data in RCT to a new PC. I unlocked many levels in the old PC, but my new PC has everything reset. I still have access to the old PC. How do I transfer my userdata and achievements to the new PC? Where are the user files located?

Try to look at:

C:\Users\(Your User Name)\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\GOGcom\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe

There are folders named DATA and SAVE GAMES

WIN7 64 bit

I checked in the virtualstore folder under AppData\local. However, the only folder inside Program Files(x86) is "Commons". There is no GOG.com or RollerCoaster Tycoon Delux. My saved games are located under the installation folder of RCT on Program Files (x86) in drive C:\, and not in app data folder. But I don't k now where my records of completed scenarios are located. If you have any ideas, please let me know! Thanks!

Oh I finally understood!:-). I´m not sure about gog version, but transfering saving progress in RCT really sucks. Actually there was even a bug that deleted progress when internal pc clock switched between summer/winter time.

I'm three years late to the party, but I'll document the solution I found to this problem for anybody else who comes along.


To transfer scenario progress, you must place the save file for any completed parks in the default save game location inside the installation folder. These files must be present the first time you start the game on a new machine; on the first run, the game checks for saves of completed parks in the save game folder, and marks any parks it finds as beaten on the main menu.

I'm confirming this still works!! Saved me hundreds of hours of playing scenarios I'd already finished. Thanks!!
