I was thrilled to grab this game on sale this weekend and relive the nostalgia! My only problem is the sound in RCT2: No matter what settings I try out, it's extremely choppy and slightly garbled. It's rather odd because there are short intervals when it all seems to be working fine. I've only seen a couple of mentions of this issue, but no solutions. It's possible to play the game in this state, but not very ideal. Does anyone have any tips/ideas on how to solve this problem?
I'm running Windows 7 in Parallels 8 on a Mac. That's a weird setup for most games, so I'm fairly sure that's the cause of this issue! I've dug into the Parallels setup to see if there was anything to change, but to no avail.
I've tried different resolutions in the options menu, tried all Low/Med/High sound quality options, and checked/unchecked the box for the option that's supposed to help out with choppy sound.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
