Hey all, I noticed that as soon as a queue path touches a foot path it creates an entrance. But if I want to extend the queue line alongside a foot path I have to keep deleting and adding queue paths. Is there a way to avoid this? Dragging doesn't work, I even tried holding Ctrl or Shift keys for example... Is it just a game design thing?

Yes, it is. There's not much you can do about it but to roll with it. You'll just learn to automatically delete footpath sections before making the queue lines.

In RCT3 it can be a pain at times when the ground is uneven. I swear, sometimes I spend 5 minutes or more trying to get an exit or entrance to properly connect with a footpath because it just doesn't want to line up. That's one of two faults I have with that game.
It's not a big deal if you ask me. But if you build another queue square next to the unwanted entrance along the path, doesn't it connect? What mistermumbles said is much worse. Sometimes, if there's a small bump in the terrain, you can build a path over it without any problems, and sometimes the game will register an "invisible" bump and refuse to connect two path squares.

By the way, does anyone build elevated paths and rides on hills? I know they make a park look much prettier, but managing them is a pain. Not to mention they're much more expensive.

Not as much in the beginning, but I do it more often now than I used to. I speficially liked Crater Carnage from RCT2 for practically forcing me to have everything elevated. That map also made for interesting roller coaster designs. (note the wooden coaster doesn't even have an initial lift hill; the trains drop down into the underground right after leaving the station)
