It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

edit: False alarm! The game needs a local TCP connection, but no internet access.

original post:

I just tried to play Roguebook (the Deluxe Edition, in case that matters), and upon transitioning to the first battle, the game hangs for three minutes, and eventually gives this error:

Game version: 1.10.15.3
Current state: BATTLE
Controller type: MOUSE_KEYBOARD

Error
21:14:28,132 ERROR GameboxEngineService:0 - Connection to local network unsuccessful. Couldn't connect to GameBox, we can't proceed with the battle...

[GOG SDK] User offline => Requesting local user achievements
bolding mine. This strongly suggests that without an internet connection, the game doesn't work.

I also found this thread on the steam forums, saying the same thing.

Can anyone confirm they also experience this (just unplug your ethernet cable, or block the game in your firewall)? Obviously I'm contacting support as well, but I'm not particularly hopeful about this being resolved anytime soon. :/
