Hi, I'd like to start a thread about class ideas and reworks, because I have a couple in mind.
To start off:
Barbarian
Thought process:
Tank with low attack damage doesn't fit the theme at all. A Barbarian should do a lot of damage and not use magic at all. The special ability is fine, but I think their magic spells should be tweaked a bit to be less "magical". Some other defense-oriented class could possibly be created to replace the old Barbarian.
Particulars:
* High attack damage, average health.
* Spells scale with damage instead of INT.
* Spells restricted to chakram and axe only. Axes are now catchable. They cost twice as much to use than usual, but a caught chakram/axe refunds 75% of the mana cost!
This would add a lot of extra gameplay and excitement, as well as strategic choices about which things to catch.
Optional: Can only equip a weapon, but armor, health, and mana scale with carrying capacity to compensate. I'm not sure on the numbers. (Not sure what to do about runes, though.)
Shapeshifter:
Average champion who can become dwarf/giant/average as its ability. I don't have any further ideas for this one yet.
Bounty Hunter --> Avenger
This one I haven't fleshed out yet. A Bounty Hunter gets increased gold rewards for each enemy slain; 1 gold per enemy level seems fair, but I could be a bit off there. Some mildly weak stats may be in order, such as maybe lower health or armor.
The Avenger gets a penalty-free lockdown, and a mini-boss spawns at the death site of the previous hero's death. Mini boss has good gold reward.
