I really think GOG is shooting themselves in the foot by not specifying how multiplayer works in the games they publish.

Can it played offline in LAN? Only online? Is it dependent on servers? Is it peer-to-peer? Who knows?

The main issue here is: I use GOG, but most of my friends don't. If a friend of mine buys it on Steam, can we even play together? Without knowing this buying the game on GOG is too risky. It shouldn't be this way. Please offer insight to how a multiplayer game establishes a connection to other PCs, thank you. I believe as a customer I deserve to know this before purchasing a product and without having to go to forums to ask every time, where people may or may not talk out of their butt
This is stated under the system requirements on most games with online functions, the game states it's between GoG users, but the developers have stated in separate forums that they are planning to add crossplay.
Same question. The multiplayer is kinda neutured as it seems tied to a DRM client which makes the game NOT DRM free.

What's stated on the page and what's real are 2 very different things.
There is no assurance with any purchase to what you'll end up getting.

From what I read on Steam Discussions and their Discord, GOG can play with any platform, crossplay is in game.

Discord looks to be where they reply like a number of other game companies.
