Hi guys, I'm rather low on my water and have been having trouble getting it back up. I drank two full bottles of water and it went up slightly, but I still die from dehydration a little later.
Any tips for this? I've been managing to survive everything else so far (thanks to playing Arcade/Easy mode, but hey) and been having a good time.

I can't be sure for what's wrong, since I haven't played Arcade myself. But I think the game can drop your hydration levels to critical if you get some sort of infection (and your body burns water fast).
Can't you go back to a pond of water, start a fire and basically drink as long until your meter fills up?
Hey, that sounds like a good trick. I'll try that!
My Sesame doesn't detect any infection (in fact, I'm perfectly healthy apart from the lack of water) so I don't know what it is. I think perhaps I just let it drain too much, to the point where it's too hard to recover with a bottle or two of water.
I tried the fire trick, and I'm quite healthy now. It still goes down fairly fast, but it's manageable... I think I can finally get through that cave now... thanks!
From what I understand, Arcade mode gives you fewer crazy deaths to worry about. You still have to find shelter, scour the land for useful items and generally look after yourself, but there are fewer (or much weaker) illnesses to worry about. There may be more enemies, I'm not sure. So it feels sort of like a FPS with strong survival elements... right now I'm getting vibes of a much more hardcore STALKER. Having a grand time so far. I might try the REAL game later ;)

I heard salt can slow down your dehydration and I saw an lp of it where the guy said the temperature will cause your character to lose water quickly like in the desert
