I can not figure out the nine men's morris game, is there an easy way of doing it

(By the way, about the Nine Men's Morris game in Conquests of the Longbow: Try setting the game's arcade difficulty slider down to the lowest setting. Unlike with the game's actual action sequences, you will still be required to play Nine Men's Morris this way. However, your opponent will now play much more stupidly, making the game much easier. If you're having trouble understanding the rules of Nine Men's Morris, make sure to reread the documentation that comes with the game, available for download on GOG. You might also want to try Sierra's hint book, available for free, among other places, at sierragamers.com. Plus, there's plenty of online help.)
