So this game just got a update and I just beat the game and I unlocked two new characters which is great. Hopefully this update will bring people to the forum for this game as it is pretty dead at the moment.

So I ask you GOGers what is your favorite character to use when playing.

Although I still have a few I need to unlock, my personal favorite character is Acrid which is the poison melee dude in chains. Do you like watching different color numbers floating around the screen representing all the damage you are doing to all the mobs? well Acrid is the character for you. It has a melee attack which adds damage over time effects, a ranged disease attack that latches on to target and spreads rapidly to other mobs and that does damage over time and then the best move is being able to spit a bunch of poison on the floor below you in a straight line and and anybody standing in it get poison and it does damage over time. there also a small ranged attack that doesn't really do damage over time but it's still ok. add all of that and he owns (bonus points if you 4-5 attack droids). the only real flaw to him is when you have those shrines where you have to take care of five imps, really hard to do with him as he is a melee character and those damn imps are fast.

Commando and Engineer are fun too.
I like the Huntress. She can shoot and run at the same time. And with the right powerups she becomes a great mob killer.
I like the enforcer, the miner (my first near win and first actual win were with the miner), the huntress and the engineer. I only wish there was a random character button.
I haven't yet unlocked all characters (I'm so bad at this game...can't get beyond Stage 2 on Rainstorm), but out of the ones I have, it's probably the sniper and the engineer. The Sniper because of the awesome shots you can do (oneshotting all enemies that come at you with Steady Shot). The Engineer because it's the only character I actually managed to win the game with on Drizzle...

For the record: I'm still missing Miner, Acrid, Mercenary, Han-D and Huntress

Yeah I'm trying to unlock her right now. I haven't been getting a lot of monster logs but I heard it is because logs have a higher drop rate on higher difficulties. I really want to try her out.
My absolute favourite is the mercenary. Its so funny to Play him, jumping through the enemies and slashing them, in particular with a behemoth so all his attacks explode

I still have not got him, the miner or the huntress, they would have to be pretty good to take away the crown Acrid has.
I don´t know why, but somehow I can´t handle the melee fighters. I hear from other players, that the mercenary and the miner are really powerful, but I hardly survive the first level with them.
For me I'd say the Bandit is my best and most enjoyed class. Being able to toss AOE bombs, go invisible/invincible/fast for a couple seconds, and instantly reset my abilities with a kill shot from ability 4 make it quite a bit of fun!

I like the idea of the engineer more though. Having mines, turrents, homing attacks, and grenades make it have really high utility. Not having a dodge move makes it pretty difficult to survive without proper items though
Favorite character: Sniper!

I beat the game on monsoon difficulty, killing the final boss in 3 minutes. :D The problem is, I got so used to the Sniper, that I have a hard time re-adapting to the other characters. o_O

Engineer comes as a close second. Turrets work as decoys, mines seem to get very powerful after you get many items, and the Harpoon missiles are always devastating. With the ring powerup that reduces cooldowns when you land a critical, I got to fire continuous Harpoons at the enemies on the last level for what felt like a minute of constant explosions. xD

Spoiler alert?
The attached screenshot is the best I could do to capture the moment.

A good way to deal with the imps is the epidemic attack. The imps are weak, so it kills them fast, and spreads to the others. Just make sure you run to one direction when you activate the shrine, so they all spawn in the same direction (opposite to where you are running) and then spit that plague at them!

Well I just unlocked the miner and holy shit is he good. So good that I beat the game on the first or second try yes the game was on easy mode, but still. At first I didn't really care for him, but as I got further into my run he just seemed to really click with me. Even though he is a melee class he does a really good job at attacking big groups especially with his charge. He is definitely in my top 3 now.
I practiced a bit with the mercenary. I managed to win on monsoon difficulty with three activated artifacts. With the new patch it is really fun to try out the characters I could not handle before.
hm, I can´t find the robot janitor. Can somebody give me a little hint where to look? But please no spoiler! Just a hint.

Well don't really know what you count as too much of a spoiler, but here goes. The robot janitor is hidden in the final level. I don't think he is there every run so don't give up if you can't find him the first try. Hopefully this helps.
Thank you. I will keep my eyes peeled...
