Is anyone else's game crashing before they reach 20 minutes while on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit?

I keep getting a variation of the error in this screen shot.

I keep getting a variation of the error in this screen shot.
I don't get that error message, but the game does crash on me (Ubuntu 16.04). I've never been able pin down what triggers it.
