and since I got absolutely no repies for my prior post I thought I'd make it clear. The message comes and goes so quicly I could not record it until now. Risen 2 crashes. And it crashes so frequently it is becoming unplayable!

exact message:
The application terminated abnormally

The following files have been saved:
C:\users\duckf\AppData\Local\Risen2\Dump\Risen2-0-DELLRIZ
ZEN14-20230423-213311.dmp
C:\Users\duckf\AppData\Local\Risen2\Dumps\Risen2-0DELLRI
ZEN14-20230423-213311.log

the log is in the attachments. GOG is particular about that too. but I screenshot a "picture" of the text file in the required ".gif" format.

Using Windows 11 fully updated. but ths occurs on Windows 10 also. and as with Risen 1 you can no longer run this game on windows 7!-although I have no such PC anymore!

Did you use any LAA App's on Risen 2 to fix the LAA problem?

Some older games like Risen 2 and Fallout NV, you really need to use a LAA app to stop it from crashing like that, especially on modern OS's above WinXP.

Make sure you back-up the Risen2.EXE of course before you apply the LAA to it, just in case you need to revert back to the old EXE for some reason.
