Both games Risen 2 and Risen 3 do not start anymore.
When starting the games via Galaxy or directly via the exe it comes to a black screen and a short time later you are back on the desktop /Galaxy interface.
Dump file says:
"Exception Code ... EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Description ...... The thread attempts to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have access.
"
I hadn't played either game in a long time, so troubleshooting is difficult.
So far I've tried the following: fixed the installation via Galaxy, reinstalled the game, set Windows 7 compatibility mode for the exe, edited the ConfigDefault.xml - set refreshrate to 60/85, set fullscreen to false and back to true. So far without success.
Can anyone help what else I can do?
