Greetings,
I have completed this game three times om two differnt builds, one Vista and one WIndows 7. I recently reinstalled Risen after buying the GOG version so that I could add it to Launchbox. The current build is with WIndows 10 / FX - 8350 / Sapphire Radeon RX 460 4gb / 16GB RAM.
The game crashed everytime I laoided it , until I started it in windowed mode and could set it to 1920x1080, upon which I could then boot it up at that resolution in fullscreen. I thought that I finally would be able to play it whenever, but...
I decided to load it up for a dose of nostalgia. There is a cave near the beginning beach area with hostile gnome. Normally, if Sara is with you, she would make a comment about feeling uncomfortable going near the cave.
However, I cannot get close to the cave for her to say that, for the game crashes to desktop EVERY time, in the exact same spot upon approach.
Any thoughts or ideas? This is a game that has been historically stable for me.
