I know this is probably something goofy on my end. I have an old laptop I just installed this game on. The laptop outputs to a 19" 4:3 LCD. I played this game many years ago on this very same LCD screen.
I have tried the 'graphical settings" (D3D, surface, etc etc) - I can't get anything that fills the screen- only a 'squished' picture for the game. I have tried 1024x768 and 800x600 resolution. Can anybody tell me if it runs as it should in 640x480 (windows resolution) or did I overlook something here? Does it run in a 4:3 picture on a 16:9 monitor?

try changing the res in the rott setup program.
