The game did not have this issue before patching. When I installed the patch available on GOG, it said something went wrong with the installation of the patch. The patch log is as follows:

The Rise of the Triad patch log
Update from version 2.1.0.6 to 2.1.1.7

Error modifying D:\GOG Games\The Rise of the Triad\ROTTGame\CookedPC\Textures.tfc

I uninstalled the game and tried again, same thing happened. When I launch the game, on the menu, it crashes and says 'Ludicrous game has stopped working'. Anyone know what's up? Thanks for your time.
Advance options is not working at all from the launcher.

When I click it, it crashes. I just bought this game today!

How do I edit my graphics configurations?

EDIT:
Now I can access it? This is random.

Re-install it and re-patched it 2 times and now I can access it? Maybe the game needs to be launched first before clicking advanced options?

This is a bug that was present for me in 1.1.1, so it seems it still hasn't been fixed.

I had this problem with the Steam version as well.

I "fixed" it by starting the game with it's windowed, lower resolution mode defaults. Once in the game, I went into the graphics settings and changed it from windowed to full screen and then exited the game. I then started the launcher again and this time it did not crash going into Advanced settings. It seems that there may have been a file missing that wasn't created until I made the full screen change from within the game. Apparently the launcher doesn't have a check to see whether this file exists or not.

Also I would advise against quicksaving, it seems to be experimental.

It can bug the first boss, another example is in Bouncy Castle. After getting the gold key in that section a yellow pad activates which you need to jump onto to exit, if you quicksaved after getting that gold key and quickload (you might have missed the jump) the yellow pad does not come out.

Also if you quickload, be sure to do a directional jump before continuing. You won't be able to control your character in mid-air after quickloading unless you do a directional jump.
