Just dipping my toe into ship configs since I've recently reached that part of the storyline. Gonna log my questions in this thread:

- A couple times I've gotten an archetype error, where no archetype ability was selected or installed, and thus have no special tricks available through "FM" (mouse button 4). I've searched all over the config screen and can not figure out what I'm missing. Any hints? Might it be that some hulls don't have an ability and that this is an erroneous message? Or is it hidden in the loadout options for, say, Engine or Auxiliary Drive?

Hey HereForTheBeer,

It is perfectly okay to build a ship without an archetype ability if you choose to. Archetype abilities are found under archetype specific nodes. In the case of Arsenal Archetypes these would be Advanced Weapons Bay, Heavy Weapons Platform, and Pivot Platform. Equipment with an Archetype ability will have a "A" icon displayed to the left and right of its name in the equipment screen. You may not have unlocked any archetype equipment for these nodes yet, if none are showing up.

To get more information about the many icons and color codes used in equipment, you can click the "?" in the bottom left of the customize screen.

Okay, kinda what I thought after watching the config tutorial on youtube: that they're found within specific nodes. I'll have to search around a bit more, though it would be helpful for the ship config screen to point out where they're found for each hull / archetype since they seem to be a unique ability, and thus bring something extra to the gameplay of each one.

How many different node types are found among the classes?

Each archetype has three special node types associated with it. Many of the highest ranked ships are hybrid types, pulling from different archetype's node types.
At the top-right corner of the screen are some horizontal bar graphs. The purpose, in general, is fairly obvious but those on the left have multiple lines as you can see in red the effects of potential changes. What info are those graphs telling us, especially those with multiple lines?

For those with two bars, the top is the capacity (normal limit of the stat), the bottom is regeneration.

For those with three bars from top to bottom: capacity, overcapacity (this is the second bar that fills up for energy and heat), and regeneration.

Several abilities work off overcapacity, some require you to be above your normal limit of a stat in order to activate.
Thanks!
