Hello everyone,

good news for all Linux users is that RiME simply works on Linux! I tested it on Linux Mint 18.3.

To install RiME run PlayOnLinux, click "Install", and then "Install a non-listed program" (in bottom left corner of the window). If necessary, click two times "Next" in "PlayOnLinux Wizard".

1. In new "PlayOnLinux Wizard" window ("Manual installation") choose "Install a program in a new virtual drive" and hit "Next";
2. Tick "Use another version of Wine" and click "Next";
3. Choose version 3.8 of Wine (other versions may works as well - I tested on this one). If not available in your list, try to use "System" one and change it later in Wine configuration (if necessary). Click "Next";
4. IMPORTANT: Choose "64 bits windows installation" as "RiME requires a 64-bit system in order to run". Click "Next";
5. Ignore additional windows which will to disappear in few seconds. When "Wine Gecko Installer" appear, click "Install". When finish, click "Next";
6. Now click on "Browse" to navigate to your RiME installation file (downloaded from GOG.com). Choose the one with .exe extension. Click "Open" and then "Next";
7. Now you may select language version. Choose preferred one and accept your decision;
8. In "RiME Setup" window tick "Yes, I have read and accept EULA" and click "Install";
9. At the end of the installation process few error messages appears: "Runtime Error (at nn:nnn)" where n's are numbers. Click "OK";
10. IMPORTANT: Do not launch the game! Click "Exit";
11. PlayOnLinux window appear. Choose "RIME.exe" and then click "Next";
12. Type "RiME" as a shortcut name for "RiME" and click "Next";
13. In next window choose "I don't want to make another shortcut" and click "Next".

That's all! Enjoy the game! :-)

Please note that I installed and successfully run the game with no issues, but I haven't finish the game, so I cannot guarantee that no errors appear on higher levels. I do not expect them, as installation process of many other windows games finished with similar "Runtime errors", and it does not affect those games, but as I said earlier, I cannot guarantee problem less game.

Please bear in mind that GOG.com does not provide Linux support for "RiME" as it is not Linux game.
