We can let this thread stand for anyone having trouble but I'm posting it because of the 1st Museum Trial. I can't even begin to come close to beating it. Any help?
I wrote some driving tips for new players in another forum some time ago.
I'll rewrite it hoping that it can be useful for you:

Advanced techniques are something very personal for every player and you will learn those with the time, but I always say to new players that there are 3 very basic tips to become faster than a rookie player:

1. Try to keep your straight line as much as you can.
Why? Simple. Every car reaches its top speed only in straights lines, so avoid turning when it's not really needed. Keep the Racing Line stable and don't zig-zag. Every silly turning will slow you down.

2. Avoid jumping obstacles, crashing walls, or taking silly 'shortcuts' just because they look fun.
For example it is typical to see new players jumping the wooden ramps in toys in the hood 1. That is so wrong. Avoid them. your car won't go faster in air. It is on ground when your car gets speed.
Touching them only costs you time, so try to be always in the center of the track and ignore the obstacles. This increases your chances to find straight lines in the road.

3. Use the "Soft Method" for turning, also called "Tic tic Method".
If you don't know what this is, there are 2 ways to turn in a curve:
One is the Deep turning (very basic form, used by new players a lot and people without the proper training, but not useful in re-volt). The deep turning consists in pressing the left or right key very deeply in every curve, without taking care the amount of energy needed to make the turn. New players tend to do this a lot. The problem of this 1st method is that the car loses a lot of speed when it turns because it turns more than needed, so you have to re-accellerate again and again on every curve. This is a waste of energy.

The other way is the Soft turning or better known as "tic tic method" or fast clicking.
It consists in pressing the left or right buttons very softly, many times per second and extremely fast (like doing tic tic tic tic tic with the keys). The fastest you press the turning keys, the better. This changes the way you turn drastically. It doesn't make your car lose speed, so you can race in high speed most of the time. Practice it.

Don't forget to use your prediction skills to calculate next curve before you take them. Don't wait until reaching to a curve. You have to finish a curve and inmediately start thinking in how to enter in the next one. This is about calculation and prediction all-in-one.

With these basic but effective tips your chances to beat a difficult record may increase. I hope this helps.
Well, my strategy for turning in some cases is to simply "hug" the outer wall of the curve (if there's any) and pressing the accelerate button as hard as I can. :D (Works well on Toytanic and Museum.)

BTW, the same time trial is giving me some hard time lately, but I came very close to beating it. Good fun trying in the meantime. :)
I finally beat it!
My life is all downhill from here.
congrats!
