BillyMaysFan59: EDIT: I'm also wondering if it would be possible to make a version of this patch that would add native Linux support to Re-Volt. I know nothing about that stuff, just a thought :D
As far as I know Re-Volt utilizes DirectX technology and Miles Sound Systems as well as other third party APIs which are Windows-specific. So while it would technically be possible to port it over to Linux and other OS, quite a lot of work is implied by doing so (hence why it hasn't happened yet).
BillyMaysFan59: EDIT 2: Heh, Sload seemed to do it. I can even view the replay too! (That made the game freeze in the same way) Compatibility mode didn't seem to do anything
Great to hear! That was just a random shot from me, but it's awesome to hear that it worked. I guess your graphics card isn't too happy about the loading screens. :P
BillyMaysFan59: Again, I hope anyone reading this has better luck getting the game to work in Wine. It's just rad beyond rad, with these troubleshooting steps it works fine on my system.
You are probably the first I've heard who have had that many issues getting Re-Volt to run. But then again, ATI /Catalyst/Radeon's drivers are known to have quite some issues from time to time on linux, heh (at least AFAIK). ;)
