Recently I stumbled upon a forum post on the Steam forums for La-Mulana with some instructions on how to make the game look better through SweetFX's CRT filter and it got me thinking, why not try it on another retro pixel art game. Decided on Retro City Rampage since that is indeed a retro pixel art game and it could benefit from a CRT filter of some sort and started working on a SweetFX preset for it.
This is still very much WIP since I am still tweaking it to look right without issues. Ran into some already where I had to up the CRT resolution since the default values make the game incredibly blurry and frankly, horrible. Anyways, here are some before and after shots.
Images were taken with SweetFX's snapshot tool and the game is running in 4:3 for that extra retro look.

I also uploaded the settings I used, you will need to get SweetFX and place the files in your directory. Replace the SweetFX settings file with the attached and you will be good to go. Make sure to turn scanlines off if you use them in game and optionally turn off the tube borders.
