The whole screen is pixelated (see pictures). Only 3D character models look fine. Please help me.

That's just what happens when you blow up these backgrounds and videos (320X240 or so) to fit current screens. There's a unique charm to it, I think. That said, you can download community developed unofficial mods that feature upscaled assets meant for contemporary resolutions. There are tutorials on YouTube.

I am now relieved and happy to know that my game has no issues. It's perfectly fine to me (I might check those mods later on after fiinshing the game).
