Just tried playing RE2 for a couple of times but everytime just a few minutes in I randomly have keys getting stuck so even If I don't press anything the character keeps walking/spinning. Or then the opposite where some keys become completely unresponsive. Totally unplayable this way. Tried playing with both characters and the problem occurs everytime. Maybe, I'll try the default key bindings. Playing on a W11 Lenovo Ideapad laptop with the keyboard.

The GOG Input Wrapper seems to be buggy. Try renaming the file, see what happens.

dinput.dlldinput.dll.bak

Seems like this is an issue with custom key config. I used the default config and had no problems at all.

I noticed that this is still a thing, but it may be a cause of the control scheme I use. Namely, I use WASD + Lshift for movement and running, while I mapped the rest of the functions to numpad keys so I can rest my arm more comfortably on the other side of the keyboard.

Apparently holding shift applies the numlock modifier and when you release it, the input can get stuck, specifically because RE2 keeps the arrow keys mapped to basic movement no matter what.

I tried, and neither RE1 or RE3 have this issue, because remapping the movement keys acttually unbinds the arrow keys.

EDIT: Apparently the numpad keys interfere with certain controls, like being unable to interact with Num1 while running with SHIFT, it just disables the run modifier instead.

This one doesn't fix it.

I would very much appreciate a fix for this myself that doesn't involve additional external software, pls.

I'm just gonna bump this here.

I've played a couple of hours with the game using an 8bitdo SN30 Pro gamepad and had no issues. Turned the game off yesterday and have gone back to it today and the button inputs have been scrambled a bit with the B button (SNES style layout) just not responding at all in game. It seems like what should be the action button has been merged with the aim button (R) which a) wastes all my ammo and b) means I can't interact with anything - in menu or in game.

The key layout in the options menu still shows the correct inputs and works fine there but that's all. That's some bug.
