Hi everyone,
I downloaded Resident Evil 3 and for the life of me I couldn't get the controller to work, I tried F1 and the controls wouldn't recognise any input, I tried pressing A during gameplay and this didn't even show anything up all of which is obviously frustrating.
The Problem!!!
The game itself will only detect and select one input to use. In My case I had my AimTrak Light Gun plugged in and resi 3 decided that was the option it was going to use as its main input so it didn't detect my other controllers.
The Fix
I unplugged my light gun and it starting recognising my series X controller.
Further Testing
I plugged in my Dual Sense Controller in at the same time as my XSX controller and it wouldn't recognise my input from the Dual Sense but it still did from my XSX controller. I turned off my XSX controller and fired the game back up and then it started recognising my Dual Sense input
Bottom Line for anyone having the same issues.
If you are having the same issues start unplugging some of your USB devices. this could even be storage or usb Wi-Fi cards but I would start with any USB devices you know are Input devices like a mouse or keyboard (AimTrak is pretty much an emulated mouse) and test the game after you unplug each device. If you get to the main menu and try navigating the menus with the left stick you will know its working if it moves.
Hope this helps ;)
