Hi,
from my experience with this port (1 playthrough completed with Claire A), the additional blood effect is still missing when you behead or gore zombies. Same problem was in the sourcenext port.
Anyone has noticed the same thing or its just me?

Also, like everyone else on steam deck I think there's a problem with the FMVs being cropped/downsized to upper left screen. Haven't found a fix yet, if anyone has a solution that would be greatly appreciated

Here is a picture taken from the classic rebirth forum where a modder says it works on the DX9 version of the sourcenext port
not sure what to make of this but in this picture thee blood effect is present

That means the base game can't render that effect. It's absent or approximated in RE1 too.
There are some in game graphics options with F2 and F3 during gameplay. Maybe the missing blood effects can be configured with F2 but I might be wrong.
the missing effects is an issue that is in both PC ports,Dreamcast and Nintendo 64.
They are only present in the PS1 and Game Cube versions.
Gemini has said he plans to restore them in a future update of his Classic Rebirth patch
