Homekill: It's actually very simple.

Beat the game and no matter what you will get the machine gun unique to your chosen character.

Beat the game with the best ending to get the closet key.

Beat the game once as Jill and load your completed file to play on hard mode.

Beat the game without saving to get the rocket launcher.

Time doesn't matter for anything in this version.

I read that any save file with the new weapons is automatically a harder game mode. Is that true or can you use the unlockables in a normal run?
New Game+ is Hard mode no matter what but, like, Hunters and Chimeras have noticably more health and you take more damage but otherwise there is not much of a difference...especially if you're planning on using the infinite weapons anyway.

It's not nearly as extreme as RE2's hard mode.
