Hi, i just finished the game (Leon scenario A) in hard mode getting A ranking. I thougt it would unlock the infinite rocket launcher for Claire B, but i didn't get noticed it unlocked at the end of the credits and nothing in the chest when i stard the game again with Claire. Does anyone have a tip for this?

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I think you have to unlock the weapons for each individual scenario. Leon A, Leon B, Claire A, and Claire B. So unlocking it at the end of Leon A means you only got it for Leon A.

If I remember correctly, there are no infinite weapons unlock on HARD difficulty.

I mean, why would you choose to play it on hard if you would use infinite ammo weapons? See the point? That's why these aren't available on that difficulty.

I see your point, but I disagree that it justifies anything. It hardly makes any sense to include 'em as rewards in any mode at all, but if you have some infinite weapon as an unlockable for skillful play, it should also be available to players playing on the highest difficulty.

I think the only differences between normal and hard are enemy health and their damage, maybe? So the outcome of using infinite rocket launcher or whatever on both difficulties would be the same because you would kill anything as easy anyway.

It's a bummer that there aren't any unlockables after completing the hard mode though. Capcom should've done something else.

At the end of the day, that's how it is and it won't change.

Take care

There's also differences in the amount of units you get from an ammo cache. But yes, they should have featured exclusive character backgrounds for the ranking screens on the Hard difficulty. That would've been in addition to having the unlockable weapons, if only because the easier mode has 'em.

I personally think that infinite weapons only detract from the game, and because of that they are not good rewards for skillful play. Presumably someone who takes the time to master the game actually enjoys it, so they would find little value in anything but a challenge modifier like "Invisible Enemy" or my personal favorite, "One Dangerous Zombie."

For real, I never understood this nonsense. Wanna give people a cheat to make the game easier? Cool, but don't make it a reward for skilled gameplay. It's like a cooking contest where the reward is a McDonald's coupon. I did all these crazy challenges already. I obviously don't need this. Give me a new mode, new challenges or at least cosmetics.

Mind you, I'm not against stuff like infinite ammo or more powerful weapons, but those should be an option from the start for people who just want to breeze through the game, with the caveat that you get no rewards if you use them.
