So I am having this issue that only happens after I install Biohazard.exe and ddrraw.dll from the rebirth and 1.1 patch. I can confirm that running the Japanese version vanilla works just fine with zero issues so I know it's not a problem there. Also you can't see it unless on video but there's a constant black ghosting behind the characters when they run.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
Rx 6800 XT

Edit: forgot some imprortant details.

There's your problem. Check the troubleshooting section, some were able to fix it with dgvoodoo on top.

AMD graphics cards don't handle directx3 calls well, and the re1 rebirth mod happens to use a directx3 wrapper [update, REbirth uses native ddraw3 calls. thanks for the correction Gemini], unlike the directx9 wrapper that gog included. to get the mod to display correctly download dgvoodoo2 from Dege's Stuff, go to the MS/x86 folder and copy d3dlmm.dll and ddraw.dll (rename it to re_ddraw.dll before copying) into your Resident Evil install folder.

If that doesn't fix it on its own, follow the instructions in the classicrebirth troubleshooting section to make a custom configuration file

I have tried the report feature included into amd drivers, and i have reported this for all dx3 games, not just this (i hope only dx3 and not other)

RedPhenol: and the re1 rebirth mod happens to use a directx3 wrapper
It doesn't, it uses native ddraw3 calls, there is no rerouting in my patch, hence why dgvoodoo can pick them up.

dgVoodoo2 can help you. I have the same Rx 6800 XT, and only through it could I play normally

ohhh ok, I misunderstood how that worked lol
Using DgVoodoo gets rid of some of the bugs but the high res backgrounds on Team X mod look very painty and there's still some visual dragging. I might just have to play around with the settings some more.

On top of the Team X hd mod, put RESHDP. The quality of backdrops, characters, icons in the inventory will be better)))
using dgVoodoo method, the game may randomly shows an error message and crashes. It can happen anywhere in the game, really, but by the time you reach the Plant 42 room,it WILL 99% sure crash there, making it borderline impossible to finish the game...
so,the only solutions for me are either play the REbirth patches and accept the messed up graphics if I want no crashes,or play the GOG version, where the graphics look normal, but can't use the patches to improve everything else...

I played the game completely with dgVoodoo2, without crashes in this room with plant 42. But I patched it myself. The ready-made solution that the RESHDP guys have in the discord, yes, it even crashed when entering the dining room.

I can send you my own version of dgvooodoo2. My dining room does not fly out, and the room with plant 42 is also without departure. If you need to write in person, I will upload the archive in the discord there.
