Firstly the graphical issues are pretty bad. I'm not complaining about how the game itself looks I knew what I was getting myself into on that front. There is a massive black line through the right side of the screen and other artifacts in other areas depending on which static background is being shown. Am I alone? If not how did this pass QA?

As for the controller support. what kind of person would ever use tank controls with an analog stick only? It's the same junk that makes Alisa unplayable on PS5. Maybe it's poor support for XBOX Series X controller? Is it like this on every controller?

As for the speed it seems like it's doing the old junk the windows 95 port does where it's running at well over it's intended speed. I'm moving faster than the speed of light. Unless you set it to set by application which seems to fix it? Anything else and it goes crazy...

Oh and also just saw if you alt tab out or go out in any other way the game crashes...

Maybe you should specify your config for troubleshooting.

I just completed my first run and the game worked perfectly none of the issue you mentionned execept for the tank control with the stick. For that I just use steam input.

Also I alt-TAB more than once and no crash. In fact I completed my run in one session and no crash so it might on a case by case.

I tried turning everything to match my resolution, that was all I changed at first.

Everything is on set to let the application decide everything now as that fixed the massive speed increase i was getting along with default settings.

Edit: Okay I've fixed the graphical issues - Windows 95 Compatibility mode fixed it... Also somehow made the DPAD work... No idea why that happened. But it gave me back the weird speed issues, now it does it whenever it feels like.

weird, I have everything at default except the game is set to fullscreen and integer scaling. The speed issue is an issue with the port itself but gog was supposed to have resolve the issue with this release.
The black lines are caused by antialiasing
