Hello everyone, I read I few posts here saying that those with an AMD hardware are having a hard time with the game, in my case I can open the game just fine, but when it comes to gameplay, it starts to stutter a lot, and it becomes almost unplayable...So for everyone who has an AMD card, please share your experiences here, and if you managed to fix it somehow, please let us know

My hardware:

Ryzen 5 5600
MSI 6750XT 12gb
16GB DDR4 3200Mhz
Adata SSD NVME 1TB

Greetings, i have a similar card. And had issues too. In my case i had a error "Failed to initialize the Graphic Hardware Device.(3)"
I fixed it using DDU and reinstalling the latest drivers. My guess is that AMD auto driver update left something from previous drivers and conflicted. You can give it a try.
Not sure if it's a problem with their ddraw wrapper, but that sounds a lot like a legacy bug with Z-buffers on AMD cards.
Hi! I tested the game on two different PCs:

1st test
Windows 10 Pro
Ryzen 7 5800X
RTX 4070Ti
Monitor at 144Hz
The game runs fine.

2nd test
Windows 11 Pro
Ryzen 7 5700X
RX 6650 XT
Monitor at 60Hz
The game stutters a lot.

It seems to be an issue with either AMD or Windows 11.

I checked the info files in the install folder. My workaround for the time being is setting up the custom argument /nocard1 and launching on the last fullscreen option 640x480 (320x240). The other fullscreen options only show 1/4 of the game screen, videos working fine, though.

In that case, there is no upscaling of the 3d models, which also give it a nice original touch. ;)

Nope, the problem is caused by refresh rate... i have windows 11 and it works fine at 144hz; it stutter at 60 and 120hz

It didn't for me. None of the other refresh rate options.

No stutter here neither at 60hz or 120hz. Running Windows 11 on 100% red team.

I'm on windows 11 too, just tried 114hz and its still stuttering, I tried the rebirth mod too, and although it kinda fixed the stutter, it has many visual glitches, the worst one is a trail the follows the character whenever he moves, it's definitely something related to amd drivers, I just dont know how to fix it

I am having the same issue with Rebirth but in my case the game works fine before updating. I just made a thread about this how moving objects have sort of a constant black ghosting and all text has a black background around it.
I am playing it with custom argument /nocard1 now. It works for me, even if there are no transparecy effects.
