Now that Capcom did this, do you think they will also bring us the two Dino Crisis games?
I don't think so... Capcom has let Dino Crisis die and I seriously doubt they have any interest in the IP. I do hope I'm wrong though.
We can only hope. I have no idea why Capcom ignores Dino Crisis :(
Both games had a PC version so it's a maybe.

Capcom didn't do this, mate. It was GOG. Watch this video:

GOG already said that their relationship with Capcom grew since they were working together bringing the Resident Evil trilogy to GOG, and they will try to do the same with Dino Crisis. This is easy money for Capcom so there is no reason why they wouldn't want to do it. Just because they don't make a new Dino Crisis game, doesn't mean that they want the old games to disappear. That's just silly. Plus Capcom already released the Dino Crisis 1 and 2 soundtracks on Steam a few years ago.
I don't care too much about DC2, only the first one was as a masterpiece for me.

Another Capcom game I really want to see on GoG is the PC version of Breath Of Fire IV. I know there was a very rare european PC port of that game.

For me it's the opposite. I prefer Dino Crisis 2 over the first by a lot.
Well, about this DC1 vs DC2 "sort of debate" that just pop up... I really prefer DC1, but I hate the environment (everything is too "clean" and "gray"), whereas in DC2 I like the environments but I hate that is so action focused and DAYLIGHT. Give DC1, with pre-rendered background form DC2 and I would be as happy as a velociraptor eating Regina's corpse... Ok, that sounds way worse than I thought haha.

But anyway, DC2 actually gives me anxiety with it's combo system and the whole extinction points.

Yes, it did hahaha
Poor Regina.

I personally think this debate may be quite useless because they're both different genres of games by design.

Dino Crisis 1 is Resident Evil with dinos (Well, not necessarily, but yes, although in my opinion, MUCH harder than RE1 and RE2.)
Dino Crisis 2 is how an action film fan kid would imagine a good Jurassic Park game - Literally.

I played them both a lot back then with my father, to the point of unlocking all extras, specially DC2.
DC2 has a Dino fight mode, and arcade minigames... It's a fun game for the "lols". If you play it like this, you will enjoy it. :)

--edit:

Also, DC2 combat is very fun in my opinion.
It is basically RE3/RE4/DMC mashed up together where points, therefore, player combat skill, plays a big whole as better play = better progression.
But that system is easily abusable. I remember back then getting to an infinite respawning water dinos part where you could kill all dinos and collect points, leave the area and come back in again and repeat the process. Doing this is possible in many areas of the game if I remember correctly, which, unfortunately, breaks the progression. :P

i think they made things clear with exoprimal. but at this point anything is possible. i mean the guy who made MH World had expressed great interest in directing a dino crisis game but so far still to this day still nothing. id take a classic re-release on gog and modern consoles at this point for dino crisis

Fitting how the MH World (Director?) has interest in working on a DC game, seeing how there's also giant lizard dinosaur monsters in MH.

One would wonder what a Dino Crisis 4 would be like, the third one was set in SPAAACE in the far future, where do you go from there? Either back to the present, or more time travel shenanigans to the far prehistoric past.

I suppose the plot would go something like, a scientist survey team, much like in Half-Life with Xen, except it's time travel instead of space travel/portals, went back in time to learn the secret of evolution or someother (not to be confused with a vaguely similar plot from Dragon Quest IV) and they never came back to the present, so you have to go rescue them, or at least retrieve their research data or what have you.

Ammo itself would be pretty scarce obviously, as the survey team only brought so much stuff back in time with them. You'd have to craft most of it RE3 style, except even more so. There would be a decent focus on melee and some stealth. Could be a semi-open world game, and then have dungeons like installations built by the survey team, caves, volcanic caves, etc. Then mid to late game, you go back to the present, and find things have changed,
and not big surprise, the facility is now infested with dinos for whatever reason.

Dino Crisis hasn't exactly been consistent in the types of games they are. DC1 was survival horror, 2 was almost pure arcade shooty bang bang where you BUY stuff with POINTS, and 3 was... whatever 3 was (an over the top futuristic shooter with a comically bad camera?). So this one mas well be a bit different, too, as long as it's way better than 3.

On a random side note, for whatever reason back in 2015, I decided to get a new (sealed) copy of Dino Crisis 2 on PC. That thing was SO old (despite being new/sealed), that the rosette (the thing that holds the disc in place) just disintegrated when I took the disc out of the jewel case. Since I was on XP at the time, the game ran just fine, but obviously DC 1 and 2 are gonna need some patching if they plan to run on any remotely modern OS. Breath of Fire IV would also be nice, and also already has a PC port.

Its always to do with money. Why spend all your resources remastering the old games when you can make lots of brand new ones for potential huge profits. The reason we even have these old RE games again on pc is because of GOG, they done the work for them.

Capcom did remaster the RE 1 remake and ZERO but that took over a decade and they were surprised how well the remake sold.
