Is anyone experiencing crashing only when a controller is connected? If I load the game without the controller being connected then it loads and works as normal. However, if my controller (Xbox one connected via Bluetooth) is connected to the pc the game will crash within 5 seconds of me opening the game, i.e. during the intro Capcom cinematic. Even if I spam A on the first one and it starts the second cinematic of the guy in the hallway before the RE title comes up it'll crash then.

I've tried opening it without the controller connected, and then connecting the controller to the pc but then the game doesn't register any inputs from the controller.

Strangely, even if I disconnect the controller it will keep crashing on load up. Only restarting the computer will make it work again.

Edit - Now I can't even load the game. Even when the controller isn't connected it crashed during the Capcom intro.

Try uninstalling the game, deleting the key 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CAPCOM\RESIDENT EVIL' from the Windows Registry and reinstall the game.

See if it solves the issue. When you uninstall or reinstall the game, the registry won't change, that's why you have to manually delete it. Try disabling cloud sync as well during the process and if it works you can safely re-enable it afterwards.

Your configuration might be corrupted or something.

Hope it works

Thanks for the reply. It didn't work but I think it's something wrong with my starting programs. If I try to play the game as soon as my pc boots then it works no problem but if I leave it for a minute, presumably everything else loads and something that does load causes a conflict. Maybe my antivirus.
Have you tried renaming the input wrapper so it doesn't load? It's in the base folder with the executables.

dinput.dlldinput.dll.bak
