Have downloaded the game multiple times and reinstalled it a few times now, but everytime I get this error message after double clicking the executable:
Some of the data have been damaged. Please run Setup again.

Anyone having the same problem?

Same problem here. I even tried to download the offline installer and Panda antivirus found a threat (virus).
If I use the ddraw.dll provided by Resident Evil Classic REbirth I don't get an error message, but the game still won't launch.

Also tried a wrapper for the ddraw.dll, didn't work either. :(

Thank you, I managed to run it after installing from Gog and marking residentvil.exe with "open as administrator". Then I go to the directory and open the game, with gog galaxy closed. It worked.

I just tried to swap the dll because I thought that file was why I can't run the game. :)

I submitted a ticket, I still think it's the ddraw.dll

Edit: It was the dll. :)
I installed the japanese version, installed the official 1.01 patch by Capcom (Link is at the bottom) and used the Classic Rebirth DLL (in the same link).
All I had to do was replace the .exe and ddraw.dll. And I wasted so much time with the dumbest attempts to fix the files :P

Same here, it only runs when the .exe is run as admin.

Good to see you got it fixed.

An update on the rebirth situation, you probably saw it elsewhere by now, if you want to use rebirth it's compatible with the japanese version on GOG, still need the newer patch for the biohazard.exe though.
