I'm so happy that GOG is able to release these absolute classic games, especially with all the enhancements that they can get on them, cloud saves, controller support, improvements to the game in general. I was wondering if there were any chances of Achievements being added for these games? I love achievements and would definitely be interested in trying to collect them for the Classic RE games!

I have already purchased the bundle I was mainly just wondering if that's something that could be implemented later down the line!

I really hope GOG add achievements support for all 3 games.

I was wondering the same thing and was so disappointed to find out that just like the PS5 Release, Resident Evil 1 on GOG still has no Achievement Support! The Classic Resident Evil Trilogy is long due for Achievement Support and i've always wanted the Resident Evil Trilogy on my Achievement Collections. Capcom/GOG please make this patch in Achievement Support for all 3 Classic Resident Evil Games.
Is it common on GOG that games get achievements added after the initial release, or should we give up any hopes for this feature at least for RE1? I already have RE1-3 on my PS Vita as PSOne classics, but I'd probably buy it on GOG as well if they added achievements.
I been talking about preservation like a broken record.
Achievements that's not something GoG do for older games, which from a preservation point of view, achievements not only add nothing but change the core of the game.

Could they add achievements, most likely. I mean look at retroachievements, they could use the same logic.
I get your point but I don't really agree. I suppose it depends on how you play your games. Personally, I just do the first playthrough without even thinking about achievements. After that, if you like a game, you want to play it again but it feels like you've already done it all if you've completed it, unless there are achievements. They give you motivation to play again and add replayability.
You got my vote on this as well. Since I really have no reason to play the GOG releases due to the far superior Classic Rebirth/Seamless HD versions, achievements here would actually make me want to play the GOG versions.
It's also worth mentioning when comparing it to Alpha Protocol as well, the original Steam release of that game never had achievements and for the GOG release the team also implemented achievements so it's not out of the realms of possibility of them being added when they work to get these games re-released. Would like for it to be done, but appreciate if there's some kind of challenge to adding them

+1 For Achievements in Resident Evil! We have all played through these games why not add a little more hype to the mix. Just finished playing RE1 with Chris and had a blast would hope to see achievements added in the upcoming games 2-3.

To be honest, if there were to be achievements, GOG would have already included them. The first RE1 came out and so far nothing.

Therefore, I don't think that'll happen.

There are purists who don't want any updates. Somehow they are ignoring the updates that are already made but anyway..

I don't see them adding much if they can't even make the esc key exit the game or have exit in the menu. Seems they are trying to keep it pure as possible. That kind of makes sense though as there is an excellent remake available elsewhere for those who want modern updates.

Bro. There is an exit key, just press F9 in the game and it returns to the main screen, then F9 again to return to desktop and exit the game... what we need is a manual because that info cames in that document...
