Menu works ok, but when you start new game, then there's the text crawl for the mission info, then it crashes to desktop and a "Requiem: Avenging Angel 3Dfx has stopped working" comes up.

Game is basically unplayable for me.

I get the same error, but I don't remember getting a 3DFX error. Of course only their old video cards are compatible with Glide, so I'm not surprised that it wouldn't work on new hardware if that was the problem.

BTW does anyone know how to disable Glide? I'm not sure whether mine's enabled or not.

Also, I read in the GOG FAQ that there's a problem when using D3D instead of Glide at a certain point in the game, but what do we do if we're not Glide compatible?
make sure that you are not running Afterburner or something like that.
I'm not, but I don't even know what that is. Can I switch to D3D mode somehow? It doesn't even print an error, it just closes!

If you're using GOG Galaxy click on the game->more->other->Requiem Avenging Angel (D3D)

Without Galaxy just launch D3D.exe directly.

The game comes with a Glide wrapper so that it works on non-3DFX gpus.

Well thanks, I hope that fixes it, but I can't try it right now though.
