I own this game on Steam but I figured since this forum is more active I'd ask here. I played this game a few months ago and it worked fine but I tried to get it running yesterday and today but for some reason, whenever I launch the game, nothing displays. The sound works fine and if I were to, say, move my mouse or press the up and down arrows on my keyboard, I would hear a sound that would indicate I'm scrolling through the main menu, but no matter what I try I can't get the game to display. It works perfectly fine on my laptop, too, but on my PC I'm getting absolutely no video.

Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? Are there any files I can tweak with or is it possible that my graphics card might be banjaxed?

Which version of the game are you trying to run (D3D or 3DFX)?

Berzerk2002: Which version of the game are you trying to run (D3D or 3DFX)?
I've messed around with both and neither work. If I run the 3DFX one, the 3DFX splash screen comes up but afterwards there's just nothing.
Please post a screenshot of your "nglide_config" (3DFX mode) and also list your system specs.
Here are my specs:
CPU - Intel i7 7700K
GPU - MSI GTX 2080 Ti
RAM - 16GB DDR4 @ 2133Mhz
Motherboard - Asus PRIME Z270-P

Looking at the attached screenshot I notice that your nGlide seems to be outdated. It should be nGlide 2.00. I suggest to redownload the latest offline installer and do a fresh install then.

Oh before I forget: Which version of Windows do you use?

Okay I'll do that. I use Windows 10.
Update: I Updated to the latest version of nGlide (2.10) and I'm still having the same problem.

I've nGlide 2.10 also installed but the version used inside the Requiem: Avenging Angel game folder is still 2.00. I think the games 3DFX.exe is preconfigured for 2.00. Please try a fresh install with the latest offline installer and then also change some of the nGlide options like "Screen resolution" and "Refreshrate" (60 fps is max in 3DFX).

Alright. I'll do that now.
Nope. Still has the same issue.

It seems to be a problem with Windows 10. I've heard from a couple other people that they have issues with this game on Win 10. I'm still on Win 7 and the game is running well. So the only idea I've left is to start the game in Win 7 compatibility mode.

If that also doesn't do anything you should talk with the GOG support about this. If they are able to find a solution please let other people know about how to fix it.

Alright I'll try that.
Yeah that still didn't work. I'll do what you said and contact GOG support. It's such a weird error because like I said, it works perfectly fine on my laptop and worked perfectly fine on my desktop a few months ago.

Maybe it has to do with a certain Windows 10 update. Wouldn't be the first time such an update causes problems with some games.
Holy fucking shit, I've figured out the problem and it's the stupidest fucking thing in the world. I didn't mention this because I didn't think it mattered, but I use a HDMI switchbox because I have some old consoles I occasionally like to mess around in. I got a new one back in June/July because my old one was faulty, but for some reason this specific game wouldn't work. So yeah problem solved, I guess. Thanks for all the advice, man, but in the end it was all for naught because all I needed to do was fuck around with cables.
