I try and open the game and I get a white or black screen with the cursor change, and then it just never loads beyond that, or if I open the .exe in win32 or win64 I just get a crash.

I've tried verifying the install, I've tried redownloading it, I've tried making it start up in windowed mode (Now it's just a white blank screen instead of a black one).
No other solutions have been resented by googling similar issues, and I'm a bit stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.

The issue was related to a corrupted savefile, uninstalling the game, including the save game, stopped the issue. However I've now lost all my progress.
