When in game everything is nice and smooth, i have absolutley no issues until i get hit or pick up an item. I guess the screen is supposed to flash briefly but instead the games performance hits the floor and churns out what one could only assume is 1 FPS. If i get shot i have to wait a good 10 seconds while the game renders multiple shades of red (or green if its a pick up) before resuming normal gameplay. Ive tried numerous things like changing the res in the config and which graphics mode is used, but ive been very much out of luck. Any ideas as to how to solve this one? I really want to play this as i missed it in my youth and never got hold of a copy when it was in stores.

Thanks, lowering the res to 640x480 is what got it to work ok, a bit rough on the eyes but its now playable. It was the only resolution i didnt try before.
