I'm trying to play as many Build engine games as I can, and I just started Suckin' Grits on Route 66. I'm in the second level, Carnival of Terror, and I got to Bubba, but when I go to smack him with the crowbar, he just dies. I did some .CON editing to lower the health of a couple enemies (the vixens, the alien hulks, and the sheriff), so I suspected that that was the problem, but messing around with that doesn't seem to change anything. Is this a known bug, an unknown bug, or did I fuck something up when messing around with the .CON files?

Uhh, never mind, it seems to have fixed itself, though how I don't know. I did it right, died at the next level, beat him to death a couple times and then it worked. Hell if I know.

Sometimes Build engine stuff glitches and you just have to reboot the game (several times) to make it go away.
Also, I kind of felt like Route 66 was a tad more sloppily done than the others RRs.

Hmmm, been wanting to load it up again but haven't played the game in a very long time. I quit Rt 66 (I think) because at some point, you had to go into a tunnel and the game crashed. I probably still have that save game somewhere - perhaps a few more reboots would fix that. Or, I could just play again (since it was so long ago) ----- :)

I usually keep a save at the very end of the level before the next one. Sometimes a level will just load as a glitchy mess, and since there is no way to restart the mission... yah.

That's usually what I do too. After three tries, though, I just gave up. Still, I always planned to get back to it and the others I haven't played yet. Plus the mods available for the first one I haven't tried yet.
