I go to Quick Save, it has me choose a slot, yes, I want to overwrite, and then next time I quick save, same thing? Can't just tell it "this file, don't ask again"? Isn't that the point of quicksave?

I heartily agree with you. quick saves that are slow, should thusly be dubbed "slow saves"
