Ok I read and have tried everything anyone has said about jumping and nothing works. Am running win 10 if that info is needed. I stand in front of ladder and hit jump , which he does And hold down the jump button and he does not climb. I tried hitting jump rapidly-nope, and tried hitting it just twice and he still won't climb. Guess I should mention that I am in area 56 just past first gate.

To climb a ladder you have to press forward + activate.
