Seems to have done the trick. Don't know, I think maybe something was conflicting with the audio earlier because it was on Awe 32 or whatever before and it didn't work and now it does so, who knows. Just wish there was a separate volume for the music but, game seems okay. Little hard actually. Been killed some 10 times on the first level already. Quit a difference from say Doom

Yea I noticed that as well the guys that have bullet based weapons seem to have incredible aims. I actually had to play on medium difficulty on this game when I normally play fps like duke nukem 3d on the hardest setting possible.
