I've run into two locked chests on the second level of the first dungeon (RoA 1). I have lockpicks, but my thief sucks at using them, so I was wondering if there's any way to have my dwarf force the chests with his crowbar. If not, what is the crowbar good for?
I also tried casting the foramen spell, but apparently that does nothing.

Have you tried multiple times with the lockpicks? Sometimes it takes more than a single try--same with using Foramen.
