When I jump on Umbers head in the Sanctuary of Fire Umber walks into the lava in a cutscene which ends with me dying. Anyone else seen this?

Right before the end you should be able to jump after the black bars on the top and bottom disappear :)
If not, there’s a bug.
I ran into this issue myself, just now.

I managed to "fix" it by restarting the game, reloading my save and replaying the entire level from the start - except faster (skipping most cages and lums on the way). I also kept mashing the jump button really fast during the cutscene, and I was able to jump off Umber at what seemed like the last nanosecond.

I'm not sure what triggers this bug. Something to do with CPU timing, perhaps? Maybe input? (I'm playing with a 360 controller, which seems to work fine without any special configuration or input wrappers.)

Hello. On some computer systems the game runs 2× faster than the developers intended. This can cause issues in the timing of in-game events such as the Umber cutscene. To fix this issue, open nGlide Settings in the Rayman 2 folder in the start menu, and change "Refresh rate:" to "120 Hz", then click "Apply" and "Exit", and try replaying the game again.

Thanks so much!
The walking shell ride in The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire becomes very hard due to the speed up.
Not so funny when you discover you cant finish

this fix will make all easier thank you

I know how to fix it.
1. Enter Rayman 2 folder
2. Click nglide_config
3. Set "refresh rate" to 120Hz
4. Done!

I was struggling a lot. I noticed there is only one chance with this bug, but it still very difficult, but if you change from 144 to 120Hz, this jump is very easy now!
