Hello guys !
I just bought Rayman Forever and tried to launch Rayman designer.
The "game add-on" launched normally but I can't launch the map editor, and it's because the executable file (Mapper.exe) didn't exist!
Did you know how to solve that problem ?
The file exists in the RayKit subdirectory, however Avira reports it containing a very nasty virus, which is why I'm not touching it for now... it's probably a false positive (and the virus very likely won't be XP-compatible anyway), but better safe than sorry, so I'm waiting for confirmation.
Thanks for your answer.
Are you talking about the "Mapper.exe" mentionned in the start menu of Rayman Forever or are you talking about an other file ?
I don't find any Mapper.exe file in the RayKit Sybdirectory
Yes, the mapper.exe ... it's definitely here: Maybe your antivirus solution is configured to move suspicious files to the quarantine folder automatically?

P.S. The entry in the start menu points to the correct file as well.

Hu, there's something wrong in my game.
Even with a global file search in Rayman's directory, it didn't find Mapper.exe
I've got Avast as an antivirus and it didn't recongnized any infected file

Here's a screen of my Raykit folder :

Is it possible that gog.com removed the file after the reports saying that there is a virus?
And here's mine :)

It's possible that they did that, but that would be a reaction in record time, so my money is still on the over-eager Antivirus solution :)

Thanks a lot , you was right, by disabling my antivirus during the installation it allowed the mapper to be installed.
Mhhhh, I don't know if it's safe to run that program now...
Neither do I. From what I'm seeing in the bug description it's a nasty piece of work that's hard to detect since it doesn't change the filesize and uses any number of Windows bugs to get very high privileges... which makes it very likely that most of it is harmless on XP (even if the files were infected, which we don't know for sure), but there could be some simple routines that still work and I'm not going to risk it for a piece of software I'm not really that interested in.
guys i cant see mapper.exe there at all

You've got the same problem than me, your antivirus check the file as a trojan and hide the file.
Normally if you disable your antivirus you'll be able to find the file and launch the mapper... But all the antivirus say there's a risk so it is actually not "safe" to launch the mapper.
I had same problem, thanks but then I tried to replace GOG's MAPPER.EXE file with the original Rayman Gold's MAPPER.EXE and it's working great and my Antivirus doesn't say anything about it even though it goes mad about GOG's version.
