Is there any way to use a PS3 controller with this game? Every time I try to use one, the controls seem to change every second. I tried using X-padder, but it doesn't help by much. I just want to play this game with a d-pad, without having to buy a whole new controller.

EDIT: I think I just need to stop the game from detecting a joystick. Is there anyway to do this?

EDIT 2: I also tried using JoyToKey. Still doesn't work. The game thinks I'm constantly pressing the down button. Can someone please help? I really don't want to play the whole game with just a keyboard.

EDIT 3: I've also seen some threads with people getting an Xbox 360 controller to work with the game using Joy2Key and X padder, without the ability to change assignments to buttons. I was wondering if the same applies to a PS3 controller.

EDIT 4: I figured out how to do it. See post below.

I found out how to do it. Here's how to do it.

1. Go to your installation folder. ("C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Rayman Forever\Rayman" for me)
2. Open dosboxRayman.conf with notepad.
3. Go down to the [joystick] section.
4. Change "joysticktype" from "auto" to "none".
5. Save the file.

And your done! The controller works perfectly now with x-padder. The game now thinks your controller is your keyboard. Enjoy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

EDIT: Does anyone know how to mark my own post as the solution?

Download MotionInJoy. It can transform the input signals from my PS3 controller into the simplest of gamepads, aswell as a Xbox 360 controller, which alot of games can use.
