Hi. So i bought and downloaded Rayman Forever from this site. I opened the installer, and Avast blocked it, reporting several files as Win32.CIH.G@dam.

Is this a false positive? I set the date to April 26 to make sure i didn't have the BIOS-destorying virus, and Windows 10 booted, but there were 2 cmd.exe windows open.

I've already wiped my hard drive.

Also, when i rebooted, Avast was disabled.

This is known and GOG has confirmed it to be false. If you're however worried you can just let it install with your antivirus removing the "infected" files and the game will play just fine. The only problem then is that the Mapper won't work, which is the tool used to create your own levels. If you've got a disc with Rayman Designer/Gold/World/Forever on it you can use the files from there and copy them over to the GOG version as the files in the original releasing are not detected as viruses by any anti-virus.
They either need to get Ubisoft fix up those files or give us another version of Rayman 1.
Same for McAfee Intrusion Detection / McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. Detected as a Virus and automatically removed.
